Jan M. Kelner
Jan is an Associate Professor at the Division of Radiocommunications, Institute of Communications Systems (ICS), Faculty of Electronics (FE), Military University of Technology (MUT), Warsaw, Poland, where he started working in 2003. Since January 2021, he has been the Director of the ICS.
In 2001, Jan received M.Sc. degree with honors in applied physics (specialty: computer modeling of physical phenomena) from MUT. In 2011, he received Ph.D. degree in telecommunications (specialty: navigation systems) from MUT. In 2020, he received D.Sc. degree (habilitation) in information and communication technology from the AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow, Poland.
Author or co-author of over 200 papers. Involved in many international and domestic research projects as a principal investigator or researcher. His research interests include wireless communications, simulations, modeling, and measurements of channels and propagation, radio navigation, and localization techniques. He is a reviewer for more than 35 scientific journals and 20 conferences.
In 2011, he won “The Winner Takes All” contest on the research grant of the MUT Rector, and his Ph.D. thesis won the third prize in the Mazovia Innovator contest. In 2018 and 2019, together with Cezary Ziółkowski, he received the Award of the FE Dean for the best article in a JCR journal among faculty employees. Since 2018, he receives a scholarship of the MUT Rector for outstanding publishing achievements in the scientific discipline of information and communication technology.
